Collection Trip to Culebra Island, Puerto Rico

Our group recently took a short ferry ride to Culebra Island, one of the 78 municipalities of Puerto Rico. We were in search of marine cyanobacteria growing within intertidal zones and shallow reef pockets. Here are some picture of our work. Special thanks to Dr. Patricia Chardon-Maldonado from UPR-Mayaguez Marine Sciences Department for helping us with snorkel collections.
