GABRIEL

Gabriel started their career as an undergraduate research student with Dr. Pares at UPR-Mayaguez, which provided them with tools in molecular biology and biochemistry. Afterwards, they entered the pharmaceutical industry as a quality control lab analyst where they gained knowledge of good and safe laboratory practices, and were extensively exposed to current good manufacturing practices culture, and worked with local and compendial testing, validation processes and method transfers. This led Gabriel to  pursue graduate school to complete a masters in Pharmaceutical Science in the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Science campus where they now are developing their masters thesis research project in the design, synthesis and characterization of cyanobacterial pseudo-natural products.
